  1. Remove the * in the ssn, birthdate and pin number fields in 2016 program.

    In the 2016 program, it is hiding the ssn, birthdate and pin number on the Information Worksheet with an *. It is extra keystrokes to have to reveal this data which I need to verify and copy within the program.

      Ability to transfer all depreciable assets to another type of tax return, for example from a 1040 to an 1120S or 1065. This is useful when a client makes an S-Corp or other entity election.

        • Please provide a list/REPORT of the 1099-MISC that are entered for SCHEDULE C. It is difficult to review the input of the 1099-Misc

          Having a list/Report of the 1099-Misc forms that are entered for a client would save the preparer a substantial amount of time during the review process of the return.

          In order to review a return, where a client has over ten (10) 1099-Misc forms that he received, I have to either print the separate 1099-Misc Worksheet (a total of 12), or click on EACH one individually to be able to review the input. A time saving feature would be a report/list of the 1099-Misc forms entered.

            • ADD BOX to Indicate Broker STATEMENTS ATTACHED for Form 8949

              Instead of us quickzooming to Capital Gain (Loss) Transaction Worksheet and scrolling 5 pages to enter sales and basis information, please add a Checkbox on the Capital Gains and Losses Condensed Entry Table to indicate statement attached. (Have X generate code "M" on Form 8949)

                • Be able to have more than 1 custom client letter within one client file.

                  I had already created a custom letter for the federal return that was filed by April 18, 2016 for my client. I wanted another custom letter just for the Texas Franchise Tax Return that is due May 16, 2016; however, in order for just the state part print I would need to remove the federal wording. Plus, if I remove the federal part then it is permanently removed. It would be a time saver to have the ability to create a second custom letter for just the state.

                      • Carry forward report

                        You should create a report/worksheet that contains all carryforward items on a single report. Currently you have to print the schedule E worksheet to obtain the Carryforward to 2016 information. It makes no sense to have the Schedule E Worksheet to print all the time (4 pages). If you have 6 rental properties and only one is sold and losses need to be carried forward, we would be printing 24 pages just to get 1 single piece of information.

                        • Proseries-have a tech support phone number that does not require going thru customer service. what a waste of time.

                          Every time I call I get routed to customer service that does NOT have an option for tech support. Always have to waste my time and your time going thru ....., customer number, how can I help, do you want to make a payment, etc. Lets both get to work.

                          • Integrate Dropbox in ProSeries

                            Integrate Dropbox into the ProSeries program so that Accountants can receive clients documents all in one place, rather than sifting through hard copies or bits and pieces of emails. Accountants can create their client a checklist of required documents for their return and just drop them all into their secure Dropbox.

                            • Allow reordering of dependents on Federal Information Worksheet Part III

                              Sometimes you just want to tidy up the order of dependents and having a way to move dependents up or down the list would be helpful without having to insert lines and reenter the information.

                              • Report that totals hours per Gross Pay description for a time period.

                                To allow an option when printing the Payroll Journal to total up the hours of each Gross Pay description for each employee at the bottom.

                                • Allow the Preparer to globally change the Firm address for all Organizer to a PO address.

                                  There should be an option in the Miscellaneous Global options for the Organizers to have s PO box address - There is already an Option not to the Address - We should also have the option change that address Globally for all Organizers and not have to do it on an Organizer per Organizer basis - time consuming.

                                    It would save a lot of time on the compiling side of things if we were able to adjust the order of items when printing a return. The problem we have is we would like the Client Presentation to come after the Client Letter and Invoice in the PDF. We are unable to do this so we have to manually move the Presentation in our PDF reader.

                                    Please fix!

                                    • A .pdf file cannot be attached to support Sch D. This feature was available in prior years.

                                      I have attached a .pfd file in prior years to support a Sch D. I believe I used that feature in 2014. It cannot be done this year. It seems that Intuit is going backwards instead of trying to make the program more user friendly. Also, the Sch D in the Basic program shows the block to check if attaching a .pdf file. This is misleading.

                                      • Allow "Supporting Statements" to all be printed at once with one click

                                        A few years ago we could check the box in the print routine to print all the "Supporting Statements". That was nice. Now I have to hunt for them and print one-by-one. Some are on the forms, others are on the worksheets for the forms, others are on input forms for such things as asset depreciation forms.
