    give us an option to turn off the alerts. i don't care if "TaxProTalk" or "Ask an Expert" is coming up. the alerts are distracting and annoying

    • hire more people. I just waited for an hour and a half to get an answer to a problem with your program. No service. Unacceptable.

      You need to hire more people to answer the phone. I just waited for and hour and a half . That's an unacceptable level of service.

      • install feature where you leave your phone number and Proseries Rep calls you back in the order in which you called (like many airlines do)

        Instead of being on hold for extended wait times on the phone (1and a 1/2 hours on my business line today) get a system where you can leave your callback number and Proseries reps call back in the order the calls were received. I know many airlines offer this option. This leaves my business line open until Proseries has omeone ready to help. Nowadays, when leaving my numberwith an airline, it even gives me an idea how long ot will be approximately before someone calls me back. The technology exists and I think it would help all of us dealing…

        • Make the time longer for passwords to keep programs open. I open mine 50 plus times a day!

          Passwords: For small offices with only one person on software, let it be 4 hours at least. 50 per is day is excessive time spent cause I was talking with clients or putting folders together. Need an adjustable time global or not!

          • Support Reps Inexperienced

            As a ProSeries user for 20+ years, support reps with knowledge of the program especially during tax season has decreased year after year after year. Hardly ever do I place a call and speak to a representative in which I DON'T have to teach them how the program works. Not only frustrating, irritating. Support reps have become glorified call takers and more a wast of time especially with respect to calculation issues and defect issues with the program. Spend more money on supporting ProSeries Professional and quit spending money on Turbo tax commercials.

              • Seriously considering switching to UltraTax

                You have raised prices significantly over the past 15 years, but your service is getting worse and worse. Are you trying to emulate IRS's ridiculous hold times. I was hold for a few time over an hour to reach someone for a simple question that took them 30 seconds to answer. You need to clean up your act. You need to increase quality of service in line with your price increases.

                • RETAIN the CHAT option for support! It saves time!

                  PROSERIES has discontinued the CHAT help as of November, 2017. I recommend continuing the CHAT line as it saves time.

                  • support Form 5884A, Credit for affected disaster area employers both on Form 1120S and Form 1040 please update your programs and add this

                    please please update your forms selection and add this form 5884A so that we can use this form on Form 1120S and 1040 for efiling as Proseries currently doesn't support this form

                      • Fix the ridiculous password requirements.

                        The complicated passwords, expiring and not letting people use old passwords results in everyone writing passwords down and leaving them out. Pro series passwords on yellow sticky notes all over the office. Counter-productive.

                          • "Date e-filed" and "Date extension e-filed" need to be available columns in Homebase View

                            Please make "Date e-filed" and "Date extension e-filed" available columns for customizing a Homebase View. On the last day of tax season, it is critical to be able to easily see if every return has been either e-filed, or an extension has been e-filed. I don't need to see if I checked a particular checkbox on the client status page, I need to see if the return (or extension) was actually e-filed. Thanks!

                              • Increase the time to sign in to 2 hours before I have to resign in. I end up signing in 8 to 10 times a day which drives me nuts.

                                Change the sign in time to at least 2 hours so I don't waste 20 minutes to an hour of wasted time signing in.

                                  • On the CA 540NR Schedule S Part II, have an error message whenever line 8 is larger than line 3. Line 8 cannot be larger than line 3.

                                    Currently the amount in Part 1 of Schedule S column D is incorrect. Column D should match Column B. This requires the preparer to input the CA income into Column E. If they forget to do that, the other States tax credit is not calculated correctly. So either change the amount in Column d to match column b, or have an error message stating the amount on line 8 cannot be larger than line 3 in Part II of Schedule S.

                                      • Add a confirmation field for the ABA and account # to verify it is entered correctly

                                        Make the program require the reentry of the ABA and account # for checking and savings accounts. This will eliminate data entry errors

                                        • Get more support agents so I don't spend over two hours on hold w/ bad music.

                                          Why must I wait for over two hours with obnoxious music for something that in previous years was an ONLY 15-20 wait. You are worse than the IRS on hold times and that's really bad. This lack of customer service is a great way to chase customers from you. When you finally get an agent, they are all still terrific in EVERY way at solving problems in a very professional manner.
