  1. The new 2018 Form 1040 worksheet is a visual nightmare.

    We need to be able to see a summary on the worksheet that looks more like the 1040 used to look instead of mirroring the postcard format.

  2. How about an option to edit the organizer questionnaire?

    I can't imagine that anyone uses the ProSeries Organizer questionnaire - many of the questions are mostly useless and apply to almost no one. How about an option to allow us to edit the questionnaire (just like we can with the letter). That way, we could use questions that are appropriate for our clientele.

  3. Imbed a .pdf of the prior year return in the current year client data file.

    Being able to see the whole prior year return without opening it up in the prior year program would be very helpful and time efficient.

  4. Get rid of "1040 Wksht". It is a waste.

    Just have the Form 1040 with links directly to the related forms and schedules.
    For 2018 the "links" on the Form 1040 went to the 1040 Wksht. You then had to click again to (hopefully) get to where you wanted to be.
    The Schedules 1 - 5 were the same. I would go to Schedule 1, for example, then click on a line item. Instead of going to that line items worksheet I went to the 1040 worksheet and had to click again to get where I wanted. That may not seem like much but thru the year it wasted…

    THE BOTTOM SECTION/BOX THAT SHOWS THE REFUND/BALANCE DUE.....WHEN THERE IS A BALANCE DUE, IF
    THAT WOULD SHOW/CHANGE TO A DIIFERENT COLOR THAN
    WHEN THERE IS A REFUND. (I.E.- BLACK FOR REFUND AND RED FOR BALANCE DUE) IT WOULD BE HELPFUL AT TIMES, ESPECIALLY DURING THE THICK OF TAX SEASON WHEN WERE A LITTLE EXHAUSTED AND WE MAY OCCASSIONALLY MISREAD
    IT....

  8. let us select more than one form at a time when printing forms.

    When printing forms, please change the format so that more than one form can be selected to be printed at one time. For example: On the state side, have check boxes to select the state form, a UE, etc. It is a lot of clicking to do one at a time and OFTEN, more than one is needed. Thanks.

  9. On the 1099MISC input sheet, the Boxes 1, 3 and 7 areas should have a pull-down menu for the "Other Income" for further classificaton

    The problem is Box 1 is for rental of REAL property. Box 3 is for renal of PERSONAL property and certain other types on income and Box 7 is for non-employee comp, but preparers sometimes put rental of personal property on Box 1,3 or 7. We need a way to direct the flow of 1099MISC income TO the other income statement, not FROM the other income statement, which, by the way only allows Box 1 rental of personal property to be entered, which is wrong in the first place.
    MY SOLUTION. On the Box 1, Box 3 and Box 7…

  10. One-click printing of collated Fed and State K-1 packages from entity returns.

    It's time consuming to print K-1 packages for shareholders/partners/beneficiaries. You have to print the federal, then print each state and then manually collate the whole thing. Why not make it easy to print the whole package, collated by recipient, including the state K-1s? Bonus feature idea - make it optionally include basis schedules!

  11. ORGANIZER FIXED ASSETS LIST AUTO EXPENSE

    In the Organizer for assets, auto expense, etc., label each activity by activity name rather than number so the client (and us!) can better understand these pages and fill in data for the appropriate activity.

  14. provide an option to turn off qbi for rental income

    A customer asked for a way to turn off qbi for rental income which is not an sstb. Currently, the only option is to deduct it as an adjustment.

  17. 2018 What IF Worksheet/Tax Planner should allow 2017 tax rates to be used for comparison

    Currently the 2018 What If Worksheet and Tax Planner will not allow you to enter a column for 2017 so that 2018 numbers can be used with 2017 rates.

  19. Please increase the time that Proseries takes to time out or give us an option to disable ProSeries from timing out

    I would like the time increased before ProSeries times out. Or have the ability to set a time before ProSeries times out or have an option to disable this feature. ProSeries freezes and locks up the computer making it hard to open. I have to shut down the system and restart to get back into ProSeries.

  20. Allow Quick Employer Forms to accept a spreadsheet upload. Takes WAY too long to input everything and is error prone.

    Add functionality to upload excel or csv files to QEF. Provide a template to users or allow users to map their spreadsheet to QEF required fields.
